A visual exploration of the horse as an image of freedom and movement, juxtaposed with the circle as a form of control. Through the narratives of rodeos, circuses, carousels, and the experiments of Mabridge, the project examines how humans have attempted to direct, replicate, and subdue the horse’s movement.
