The artistic design of the station is dedicated to the architects of the Moscow Metro. Framed by archival blueprints and graphic portraits are the key figures who pioneered domestic metro construction—from the ideologues of the underground palaces to the engineers who brought the first line, from «Sokolniki» to «Park Kultury,» to life.

The Sokolniki station on the Moscow Ring Line opened on March 1, 2023, as part of the final section of the BKL. This two-story station features riverside platforms and facilitates transfers to the historic Sokolnicheskaya Line, which opened back in 1935. Thus, the new station is located literally one hundred meters from the old, landmark station. This unique fact sets the central theme of the concept—a dialogue of eras, a connection between 21st-century and 1930s metro systems.

In developing the station’s design concept, achromatic color palettes with red accents were employed. The choice of an achromatic scheme with an accent color references vintage photographs and blueprints, while the red color complements the overall composition and aligns with the red «M» logo of the Moscow Metro.
