A project featuring nine laminated objects explores the fluidity of identity through the deconstruction of time. The basis is a single static image of the modern man, transformed by nine of his own childhood photographs, which replace his face.

This study explores the nonlinearity of memory. By superimposing an adult’s face onto childhood photographs, I create a surreal collage. High-gloss acrylic against a backdrop of dark curtains transforms the piece into a portal—in its reflections, the viewer sees themselves, becoming part of this journey through time. The material freezes the «ghosts of the past, ” and the hidden chassis makes the object appear to float.

A collage printed on color photo paper and encased in 5-millimeter acrylic not only bridges the past and the present but also transforms the ephemerality of a digital or film archive into a tangible, solid artifact. The acrylic coating gives the images a deep, glossy surface, emphasizing their handcrafted nature while simultaneously distancing them from the viewer. Because of the hidden aluminum chassis, the objects appear to «float» above the wall, creating an effect of spatializing time—where each fragment is a distinct layer of memory, solidified in plastic.
Lamination transforms this conceptual collage from a simple image into a standalone exhibition object, imbued with a materiality and depth that invite closer, more detailed examination.Selected Format: 40×60 cm per piece
