A tactile tabletop object that changes shape according to the user’s state
The object is based on the image of a knight—a symbol of strategy, thought, and unconventional moves. The flexible corrugated section allows the figure to be compressed, extended, and bent, transforming its position into a non-verbal marker of the user’s state.
Concept and Interaction Scenario
The horse is located on the desktop and functions as a small tactile object. The user can squeeze, stretch, and bend the corrugated part, altering the figure’s pose.
The status does not have a fixed meaning; the user connects it to their own state—concentration, fatigue, tension, or readiness to engage.
Form Generation
The form is based on the recognizable silhouette of a knight from chess. The traditional, solid figure is divided into three parts: an upper shell, a flexible corrugated section, and a stable base.
