The transforming case protects the laptop while traveling and turns into a lap desk in seconds. The rigid polypropylene body stores and protects the laptop. The soft trim and thermoplastic elastomer handle make the item comfortable to hold. The pull-out mouse tray (165 mm) frees up workspace. An inflatable cushion made of flexible polymer film adjusts the support to the user’s posture and takes up almost no space when deflated. The project demonstrates how different polymer properties work together in a single product.
