Project Goal: To design a series of ceramic fountain candle holders for cone incense burners featuring a reverse flow, creating a meditative user experience by harmonizing the hydrodynamics of the smoke, the organic form of the design, and the tactile qualities of glazed ceramics.
Project Objectives: 1. To investigate the physical characteristics of smoke behavior with a reverse flow and design a cascading geometry for the tiers to ensure continuous flow. 2. To develop a plastic solution for a series of interconnected objects, considering the technological requirements of slurry casting and demolding from plaster molds. 3. To test the ergonomics, proportions, and hydrodynamic parameters of the objects using physical card modeling. 4. To establish a unified visual language for the collection through biomorphic silhouettes, a stepped rhythm, and gradient glaze transitions.
