Concept
The main objective of the course module was to develop a unique, stylized lettering for a series of themed postcards. I based the visual concept on my original comic project, «Driad Legends,» creating postcard designs for the main characters of this story.
The primary goal was to convey each character’s individual personality and inner world through the plasticity of the letters, textures, and color palette.
Card 1. Ivett

A young and naive four-year-old dryad, whose image is tied to the weeping willow. She possesses an exclusively gentle, sensitive, and kind nature.

To reflect the heroine’s natural nature and vulnerability, the capital letter «I» in the logo smoothly transitions into delicate, trailing willow branches with fine leaves. The soft, rounded curves of the other letters emphasize her innocence and friendliness.
Postcard 2. Dudley and Spikachka
An incredibly fun, hyperactive, goofy, and charismatic boy—the real life of the party. By his side is always his loyal dachshund, which he has named Spikachka.
The logo was resolved in a playfully humorous, «sausage-like» style. Volumetric, pliable, glossy letters are arranged in a dynamic, slightly chaotic composition that perfectly captures the comedic spirit of the duo and the boundless energy of Dudley himself.
Postcard 3. Ryan
At first glance, he appears to be a closed-off, abrasive, cynical, and distrustful teen, yet beneath the outward toughness, he remains a dreamer.
The typeface used for Ryan’s name features sharp, jagged, «wood-cut» contours, reflecting his prickly nature and emotional distance from the outside world. The key emphasis is a subtle glimmer hidden within the letter 'Y'. This is a direct visual reference to the protagonist’s personal trauma: the house fire he experienced as a child, and the death of his parents.
