The project is taking part in the competition

This project will compare the «Grass to the Waist» exhibition, focusing on the creative legacy of Egor Letov, with the permanent exhibition at the Sergey Kuryokhin Center, presented in the format of a musical lounge.

research objective:

Compare two exhibition approaches to presenting the creative legacy of Egor Letov and Sergey Kuryokhin, identify their strengths, and propose ways to improve the visitor experience.

research question:

How do curatorial decisions and exhibition materials influence a visitor’s perception of a creative individual?

Relevance of the chosen topic:

The exhibition does not merely present works of art; it also constructs the image of a creative individual through the curatorial concept, the organization of space, and interaction with the audience. Comparing projects dedicated to Egor Letov and Sergey Kuryokhin allows us to explore how different exhibition approaches illuminate a multifaceted creative legacy and what decisions help render that legacy more understandable and engaging for viewers.

Hypothesis:

The way an exhibition is organized influences the image of the creative individual that the visitor forms—whether through independent study of visual materials, immersion in a musical environment, or a combination of different mediums.
