The subjects are portrayed not as unattainable sports icons, but as vibrant, character-driven individuals. This is achieved through their gaze, facial expressions, posture, and the details of their surroundings. Each portrait retains the athlete’s distinct identity and the atmosphere associated with their sport. The portraits unite rich color, painterly texture, and confident tonality.

My work consists of two parts. The first is large-scale portraits that convey the unique color and character of each heroine. In these instances, the athletic wear functions as a calling card—it instantly signals the discipline the girl practices.
