Theme: addiction, denial of the problem, and the path to recovery.
Format: a documentary video based on a series of interviews—with individuals in remission and with a specialist in addiction.
Goal: to draw attention to the issue of addiction and to demonstrate how the conviction that a situation is completely under control can hinder the recognition of the problem and the search for help. To show that a solution exists. To provide examples.
Core idea: the problem may remain unnoticed or be denied as long as a person is convinced that they are capable of controlling everything at any given moment.
In the project «Illusion of Control,» I took on the role of producer. I founded the project, authored the core concept and the title. Furthermore, I assembled the team, managed the process, and fully documented the step-by-step implementation plan, which we used as our guide moving forward.
