Concept
Origin is a service for symbolically bidding farewell to your digital past—accounts, applications, games, correspondence, and other virtual spaces. These spaces hold memories, habits, and the traces of different life stages. When access to them is lost or it’s time to move on, the service allows you to leave a final message and close your digital history.
Metaphor
The central metaphor of the project is that when one exits digital space, only isolated memories remain. The graph fragmenting into pixels conveys this sense of fragmentation. The running figure is reminiscent of an exit sign and symbolizes the person who leaves behind old accounts, apps, games, and moves forward.
