❋  Let’s make it pop  ❋

I’m drawn to bold colors, expressive shapes, unusual characters, and tiny details that make an image feel alive. I love mixing techniques, exploring different visual styles, and finding playful ways to tell a story — whether it’s through a single illustration or a whole animated scene.

Every project has something that makes it special. My job is to find it and turn it into visuals that catch the eye, tell a story, and stick around in people’s minds.

Sometimes it’s a character, a tiny detail, or a color combination that just clicks. I bring these elements together to give every idea its own personality.

❋  The throw — 2×2. Finalist in the Spring 2026 ident competition ❋

Original size 3840x2160

The brief: 2×2 is known for its unconventional humor, bold personality, and offbeat approach to entertainment. The challenge was to translate that spirit into a short animated piece built around the channel’s logo. With only a few seconds to work with, every movement and visual detail had to count — the ident needed to feel like a complete little story while staying true to 2×2’s playful character.

My approach: A tennis match where every shot counts — and one wrong move can mean trouble. I turned the brief into a playful sports gag, building a tiny story around a tennis player, a risky shot, and the possibility of breaking more than just a record.

❋  St. Valentine’s Day at Karmashek.shop ❋

Original size 4032x2268

The brief: To introduce a limited-edition heart-shaped locket released
for Valentine’s Day by Karmashek.shop, an independent jewelry brand by Sofia Avzalova. The goal was to present the new piece as a thoughtful romantic gift while creating a campaign that felt personal, playful, and true to the brand’s whimsical world.

About the brand: Karmashek.shop is an independent jewelry brand by Sofia Avzalova, known for its playful, colorful accessories and distinctive, charming aesthetic. Its visual world called for something equally expressive: sweet, stylish, and full of personality.

My approach: I created a frame-by-frame animated mini-series starring two bead characters in love. Across three short reels, they make handmade gifts for each other, discover the perfect piece of jewelry, and finally go on a romantic date. The heart locket ties the stories together, becoming a natural part of their relationship rather than just a product featured in an ad.

Alongside the animations, I created a set of Valentine’s Day greeting cards to extend the campaign’s visual world beyond video.

Medina Atabaeva Ильдаровна
Interior and spatial designer, 4th year at HSE Art and Design School. Three projects that go from concept to drawings: an educational interior for a school of the future, a two-storey showroom for the furniture brand SUPAFORM with a full AutoCAD album, and a showroom for the jewelry brand DETALI with custom furniture. I see a space as a sequence of scenes and take the idea down to layouts, materials and details. Open to a position in an architecture or interior bureau and to separate commissions.
