The project is based on a 12th-century English legend about green children from Vulpit: a brother and sister with green skin emerged from beneath the earth to encounter humans, and everything about them felt alien. The series transfers this sense of otherness to the hands: they form gestures that seem familiar yet match none of human gestures. The green against the light background renders the body simultaneously foreign and captivating.
