At the core of this project is the concept of the equilibrium of opposites. The red and blue columns, the sun and the moon, create an image of two foundational principles united by a central geometric structure. The original image was chosen for its symbolic richness, expressive composition, and the contrast of its color accents. In the Jacquard execution, the graphic gains materiality—the weaving of the threads becomes a metaphor for the interconnectedness of the elements. The tapestry is envisioned as a standalone textile object for a classic interior.

The original engraving was adapted for a tapestry format of 123 × 142 cm. The composition became more compact: the columns were brought closer together, the central symbols were enlarged, and fine inscriptions and excessive hatching were removed. The main focus shifted to expressive silhouettes and large color blocks. These changes take into account the characteristics of weaving—since the design is formed by the interlacing of threads, delicate lines and fine details give way to more generalized graphics.
