Concept
The tapestry «Clever Move» is dedicated to the art of ingenuity and unexpected twists of fate. The composition is built upon the interweaving of fluid lines, sharp angles, and large abstract forms. They intersect, change direction, and create a sense of movement, symbolizing cunning, randomness, and unforeseen opportunities. The contrasting colors and complex interweaving of shapes convey the idea that even the most tangled path can lead to success.
Custom typography plays a significant role in this project. The «Karabas» typeface, inspired by the fairy tale «Puss in Boots, ” becomes an essential element of the tapestry’s visual language. Its massive forms, expressive serifs, smooth curves, and curled terminals convey the fairytale nature and the idea of cleverness. Enlarged letter fragments are transformed into decorative elements, establishing the rhythm and dynamism of the composition.
The tapestry is produced using jacquard weaving from cotton yarn. Dimensions — 204×146 cm.
