The tapestry illustration is a still from my generative video collage, «The Vessel Is Not Meant to Overflow, ” visualizing a state of boiling, suppressed anger.
Translating a digital image into a textile form reveals the connection between the image’s pixel structure and the weave of the threads: individual elements of a digital frame take on a material presence within the fabric’s structure. Jacquard weaving captures a moment of internal tension, transforming a dynamic visual image into a tangible surface within which suppressed emotion continues to accumulate.
