Between the living and the artificial

Concept
The project centers on an exploration of the contrast between organic and artificial forms, and the real versus the digital. An artificial appearance is set against the realistic texture of clothing and the organic depiction of a flower. This generates a visual conflict between the artificially constructed body and the natural form.

The central element of the project is an original illustration of a flower, rendered by hand with ink and subsequently digitized through scanning. The high-contrast black-and-white graphic preserves the unevenness of the lines, the traces of manual execution, scan noise, and random artifacts. These imperfections are intentionally retained as part of the image, creating a distinct texture at the boundary between the analog and digital realms.
The grain, distortions, and unevenness of the image underscore the fragility of the natural form and make visible the process of translating it from the physical to the virtual environment.
