Photo Essay: Report from the Opening of the Exhibition «Herbarium of Feelings»
I chose the reportage format because this event seemed particularly atmospheric and provided the perfect space to observe genuine emotion. The unique feature of the exhibition was its concept: to enter, each visitor had to bring a flower that corresponded to their mood and inner state on that day.
I felt compelled to capture the subtle connection between humans, their emotions, and art. My photography project is an exploration of how people resonate with art and share their feelings. I deliberately avoided staged shots in favor of reportage. It was important to me to photograph people in moments when they weren’t looking at the camera but were fully immersed in what was happening. My photographs reflect genuine emotions, which, in my opinion, is particularly vital for good photography.
