BOULDERS COLLECTION is a collection of craft furniture created by Russian designer Ilya Shulgin. Ilya Shulgin has been working in the field of architecture and design since 1999. In 2004, he became the co-founder and, subsequently, art director of the Lofting Architectural Bureau. The development of the furniture collection has become a natural continuation of many years of professional work in the field of interior design.
THE CONCEPT. Harsh, rocky natural landscapes and restrained, laconic architecture inspired the creation of the Boulders Collection. The beauty of natural materials — boulders and wood — is emphasized by clear geometric shapes, and the role of a plane — an ideal water surface is often performed by glass. Just like in the buildings of Russian Wooden Architecture, boulders serve as the foundation — with us, boulders often lie at the base of our objects. Our furniture is designed for a wide target audience, while each of our products is unique. We can’t make two identical tables — the stones will be significantly different.

A boulder is a rounded stone «rolled» in the wild environment.
We use stones extracted from the mountain rivers of the Caucasus Mountains and on the coast of the Arctic Ocean.
