Female outburst

The project explores the experience of womanhood in the contemporary world. Its central theme is the pressure of social stereotypes—everything embodied in the fashion industry that undermines women’s authenticity, reducing unique appearance to a set of commercialized templates. Standardized facial features and idealized body quality are societal norms that lead to the subjugation of real women, both men and women themselves.

Another theme of the project is motherhood—the natural, intrinsic capability of the female body that involves fundamental bodily changes. This too can be a fashion narrative, yet it remains an individual issue—an act of accepting one’s deepest essence.

Through photography, I investigate the world of anxieties, tensions, admiration, and apprehension surrounding personal female experience—past, present, and future. Visualizing the motherhood of others, unveiling one’s own femininity, and achieving self-actualization through clothing and object metaphors has become an act desperately needed by many young women.
