Concept
This research explores the boundary between decorative and functional elements in clothing: a romantic silhouette of a satin skirt is reinterpreted through industrial construction using faux leather and metal hardware. Two separate, airy volumes are connected by straps, clips, and rivets. Elements of attachment, usually concealed, become the main visual focus of the garment, and the contrast between transparency and density, softness and rigidity creates an expressive image that unites the aesthetics of ballet, alternative fashion, and constructive design.
