Factory: ORCHID
Working on the full-cycle character ORCHID, I wanted to merge traditional Asian style with futuristic elements, amplifying the contrast between these directions. Within the «Factory» project, the character gained a second life and became the focal point of the t-shirt print. The print was designed in the style of a contemporary Japanese poster, featuring vibrant accents and an interesting concept drawn from Japanese culture.

Product Visualization ORCHID
«Like an orchid in an ascetic vessel, true wisdom avoids excessive words and does not seek to dominate the world. Only one elegant stalk can quell the bustle, revealing the great Void around it. For the wise person sees: this Void is not a lack or a deficiency, but the purest space for contemplating the spirit and eternal peace.»**T-shirt text

Stages of Production
- Design Development
An original print was created in a modern Eastern aesthetic, featuring the character ORCHID, blooming orchids, and decorative typography. The composition is centered on the front of the T-shirt.
- Pattern Making and Cutting
Patterns are developed for a size L T-shirt, accounting for a relaxed silhouette. The main components are: the front panel, the back panel, two sleeves, and the neck binding. The cotton knit fabric is then cut according to the prepared patterns, including seam allowances.
- Garment Construction
The t-shirt details are connected using an overlock. The shoulder and side seams are finished, and the sleeves are set in. The neckline is finished with a tight knit ribbing. The bottom of the t-shirt and the sleeves are finished with a double stitch.
- Print Application
The image is prepared for printing in high resolution, preserving the color palette and fine details. The print is transferred onto the fabric using DTF printing with a heat press. This technology allows for the transmission of rich colors, smooth gradients, and complex graphic elements.
- Final Finishing
After the image is applied, the print quality, seam strength, and compliance of the item with the developed design are checked. The T-shirt undergoes a final heat-setting process, taking into account the specifics of the material and the print.
Production File
The production file has been prepared as a print image in Adobe Photoshop.
