A treasure chest of a space, home to a variety of unusual items: furniture that looks like it was found in the attic of a beloved dacha, art, vintage lighting, a mechanical gramophone, rugs, and various small, interesting details found at a flea market. The café is located in Sosnovo, near St. Petersburg, 70 km from the city. The settlement’s former name was Rautu; these territories once belonged to Sweden and, along with Vyborg and part of Karelia, were transferred to Russia. This historical context largely determined the interior design concept.I wanted to create a mix, a carefully crafted combination of sketches: here are Copenhagen motifs, and a Parisian flair, and echoes of Swedish laconicism with coziness, as well as the mood of a Swiss chalet and Soviet accents in the form of a side
