One day, the artist Shaburov received a call from director Ugolnikov inviting him to star in his film. But today!Shaburov thought it was the highly respected Igor Ugolnikov (who started in «Oba-na-show!») and agreed. However, it turned out to be not him, but his look-alike, Sergei, hiding under the questionable pseudonym Lampopus.Yet, upon closer inspection, Lampopus proved to be not so bad. He had two remarkable theories about how and what should be shot. The first—one should film amateur, low-budget cinema rather than imitating big-budget Hollywood action films. After this, Shaburov thought: why don’t I do that myself? The second—one should film against a backdrop that will disappear tomorrow: a demolishable Film House or the trendy clubs of the 1990s. This also resonated with Shaburov. The film had no script, and Shaburov didn’t know the plot, but oh well. To make the film more entertaining, he proposed fighting with the philosopher Smirnov in every scene. Which they gladly did.
