The Fragile Balance exhibition focuses on the relationship between «I can» and «I can’t» — the clash of a fragile and durable one. Artists interact daily with this, but they are less and less likely to speak. Each of the participating artists created a practice based on their attitude to the material. The material chosen is a continuation of the creators themselves and their capabilities. The struggle continues even after the work has been exposed to the public eye.
The concept of the catalogue is based on the delicate balance between the text and the image. The balance is created, destroyed, moved horizontally and vertically. The balance sheet is supported by a central blackout, as well as a colonitile line breaking a page into fields for visual and textual information. The book focuses on the abundance of textures.
