The restaurant at the Bloc is a purgatory where the soul confronts its reflection. People run from reality, but as soon as they notice sincerity, they flee from it, just like the Stranger in that poem. People hide their naked souls behind an artificial smile, and as soon as someone peers into their soul’s mirror—they run so as not to smash it to pieces…
