The submission of the web designer to the cultural logic of late capitalism by the Landing genre
The answer to the question <uo; in what is our activity?» which web designers blindly accept not are formulated today exclusively in the rhetoric of late capitalism. The web designer is viewed primarily as a salesman, and its work is valued on the basis of the the success of selling the product he promoting with his design. Landing — the task of this training module — was formulated by the USE Design program exclusively in the these pro-capitalistic categories. This seems to be a typical representation of the web designer’s task, both within the profession and out of the question.
And the idea has come to create a landing that fully reflects today’s approach to the profession (in the context of the Russian web, at least). Landing, which I would hate if he were the main and only answer to the questions I’ve been asked, as before the web designer. And write about it all.

A web-space study was conducted in search of landings, and it turns out they’re all exactly the same. In the text, I criticize the fact that the web designer, in general, is not important to the substance of the project; he never withdraws his design, his speech. These are always finished templates (both graphical and textual) that are placed on the product. Since the substance of the product/project is not important, I have abandoned it at all. I sell «it» with meaningless signs of the language commonly used on such pages.
This landing is entirely made from the patterns I’ve met. In all the landings, they just reassembly and move around, words can change, but basically all these pages are identical. I’m showing it to an endless skull that freely selects these patterns of landing designs. I fill them with words from the vast body of meaningless texts about this. Try to finish him off. You’re not gonna make it. Because these designs are infinitely fertile, parasitic on themselves, multiplied by the pinterest, and have no anchors to hook up, to stick to something. Because in designing these designs, the essence of the product doesn’t matter to the designer. Only the selling image matters. Her color, by the way, isn’t important either. It can be changed. And the words don’t matter, they’re updated in every block when they’re hidden down. It’s okay. None of this matters.
The exit from the infinity of the skull is done by any button, has procedurality, and requires real action. — clicks. I wanted to show my web object as much as possible about the 'nbsp; the media, in 'nbsp; which we’re we are. Web is incredibly responsive, in no matter how much more fun you can have with time and the actions of the person who accepts content. I’d like to remind you of the website’s character, and I’d like to visit the pages and the web designers. 'Cause it looks like everyone’s forgotten.
First, the text is erased, exposing these weird ones by the in their own form, but accepted by an absolute majority of web designers of rounded things. What the hell is this? Why are they like this? Why is everyone using them? Did you think any of us were on top of that? Did you spend this day with  before putting it on the web page? Even though it’s a night?
The layer disappears by clicks. The lower and upper layers are mixed. I’m interested in the graphical character that comes from their interface. It’s like the ability to adjust the density of a page so you can see the next one. At the request of the reader. It’s only possible on the web. Think about how weird this is.
The layer with the my text about the designer’s roll is opposed to the wrapping. It’s as simple as possible, it’s fine, it’s understandable. It’s almost as simple as that. And modern rum web designer (especially in commerce) is never special. This page isn’t gonna be anywhere, you’re gonna be there, you’re gonna be there, you’re gonna find it. But we the lead with the ease of collecting multilayered heavy fantasies, like the one just on the page. Why is that?
Talking about the nature of the web is very close to my conversation about the activities of the web designer. The third, independent layer reminds me of how different this space is. How different the web is from the object world. I’m also interested in the difference in the graphical characteristics of the web and the reality of the photos. How could we make this space if nothing like it surrounds us?
I think it’s very important to talk more about our profession. Try to understand the possibilities and the nature of the environment where we work. Use them to collect interesting design. To take a look from the money relations and publicity, learn to look in Web design something much deeper and inspirational. Stop doing typical boring things on the we’ll see the rules and we’ll see the scripts. Make your rules and scripts. And own, boring, web sites.
I invite you to read the Russian web designer text that was written for the project. You can do this on are.na or on the website itself.
