This is a competitive card game for 2 to 6 players. Judgment Day is fast approaching, and as priests, you must please the horrific chthonic patrons. Decorate the altar, light the candles, but above all, strive to appease the ancient gods—otherwise, who knows what will happen to you on Judgment Day?
Candles
You play candle cards. They are colored to match each of the gods. The gods love candles of their specific color. Each candle has a burning duration, indicated in the top left corner of the card.
Combustion
The candle is placed unlit, but it can be lit afterward. A horizontal orientation means the candle is unlit; a vertical orientation means it is lit.
The completion of a possible combination depends on combustion. Unlit candles are not counted in combinations.
Fading candles are moved one row down, but no further than the duration of their burn time.
Gods
Example of God Tablets.
The gods feud with each other. Each god possesses unique colored abilities: to move, extinguish, or light the candles.
On the God’s board, individual candle combinations are indicated, which you must collect by moving the candles on the board to the correct positions.
By lighting your favorite god’s candle, you receive tokens that you can use for divine properties.
Victory?!
By lighting candles and creating combinations from them, you earn victory points. The player with the most victory points wins.
Examples of combinations are shown on the God’s board; the player receives points for every combination they create.
Tablet
Tablet of the temple.
On the temple tablet, a Victory Point scale and a Judgment Day scale are displayed.
The Judgment Day scale is a turn counter. The Judgment Day figure advances along the scale with each round.
