concept
A city cannot be perceived in its entirety. Its image is composed of numerous repeating elements: facades, fences, information boards, posters, and routes. These elements form an overall plan of the urban environment that is never finished and constantly changes through new combinations and overlays. «The overall plan» suggests viewing the city as an open system where coherence arises from multiple repeating elements and their combinations. This multiplicity makes the urban image mutable, allowing it to be assembled anew each time.

The metallic panels function like fragments of the urban environment in this work—surfaces that conceal other visual layers beneath. Through the cutouts, the viewer sees only isolated sections of the images, without the possibility of seeing the complete picture.
Each image acts as a unit of city assembly, lacking a single prescribed reading order: the structure is determined by chance, the viewer’s gaze, and the method of interaction with the object.
