Overall Concept
Manholes—one of the inseparable components that make up the complete puzzle of any city. They are often overlooked or even bypassed. However, in our project, they will become more than just attention-grabbing art objects; they will be portals to other worlds.
Personal Concept
What if dinosaurs hadn’t gone extinct millions of years ago and continued to exist? Through my «portal windows,» you can observe the daily lives of these enormous reptiles and how they interact with humans across various fields.
General Rules
The «Beyond» project is based on a system of shared constraints that form a unified visual and semantic space. All works are unified by the round hatch form, the common theme of the portal, and the representation of the hatch as the boundary between the familiar urban environment and a hidden, different world. The color palette for each design is limited to using any two colors in combination with black and white.
Triceratopses—wonderful caregivers! They look after the kids in groups, taking turns as the adult over time.
Stegosaur’s bony plates are so large that they are hard to miss, especially if they are colored.
