Dichotomy is the division of a whole into two opposing parts. The architectonic illustrates the dichotomy of space through mass and void. On the left is a dense mass of rectangles, which conveys a sense of weight. On the right is a void composed of open arches, which renders the form light. Paper was chosen because it effectively showcases the interplay of light and shadow. Thus, I presented the dichotomy of this concept by dividing it into a dense mass and an almost imperceptible void.
