Product
My final thesis project focuses on developing an augmented reality candy gift set, where each piece of candy transforms into a short encounter with a figure from Russian culture.
Each set contains six candies, unified by a single cultural theme. Each one is dedicated to a specific figure: their image becomes part of the packaging design, and their story forms the content of the AR narrative.
The opening collection is dedicated to writers and poets—people whose works have become part of our culture.

The gift set combines several functions: the enjoyment of sweets, increased interest in Russian culture, and the delight of an unexpected discovery.

User Interaction
Interaction with the product doesn’t end when the box is opened.
Collection Principle
Each box is dedicated to a distinct area of culture. The variety of collections allows you to choose a gift that reflects a specific person’s interests.
Each set reveals a new dimension of culture: new names, images, and stories. This collection system creates several purchasing scenarios—choosing a favorite theme for yourself, selecting a gift for a loved one, or exploring the next series.
Relevance
Today, there is growing attention in Russia to preserving cultural identity and finding new ways to articulate national heritage. Culture is moving beyond museums, manifesting in design, fashion, and digital projects.
Market
The cultural theme is already in demand in the market, but it rarely becomes product mechanics.
The buyer’s problem is making a universal gift feel personal.
Sweet gift sets are often planned for giving rather than for receiving. This creates a gap between the popularity of the gifting format and its appeal to the recipient.
