Interpretation of the image of a lyrical hero from the album «The dead man’s chest» by Dirty
«Tell me, for what?» — I asked my mother While she was packing my satchel What have I been carrying around year after year The ballast of the same days Which I really want to lose And believe pressed against the wall That her cold will save her from loneliness Like a patron in a war And the satchel has settled in well Becoming a suitcase over the years But I’m so tired of carrying it with me There’s a load of dusty memories everywhere
The character
Andrei is a man who has suffered enough sorrow in his time. It’s a tough childhood. Loss of loved ones. Treachery. A mental hospital. Only he finds the strength to love life, the doctor reports that he is terminally ill. He puts his hands on himself and dies in his apartment, friends forget about him, nobody’s here to bury him. His soul is stuck on the Earth-Hell border in an apartment with his dead body.
His chest is an allegory to the perfunctory of his existence, his key is an allegory to the false hope of salvation.

Key Stick
«Lord, bring me back» is the last prayer of a hero and the only support he has left. A lost hope of salvation. But in reality, he can’t even rely on it. Nevertheless, he chained himself to this self-loathing.
The handle is placed on the spring, when pressure is on it, it falls down, and the sharp rod under it punctures the palm.
