Daily soundscapes constantly pulse with sounds of varying intensities: something is happening every second, whether it is visible, audible, or not. In this project, sound is treated as an event, and the urban space becomes the stage.

The concurrency and multiplicity of the sound stream form the basis of the visual language in this series, where every event is translated into sound. The term «sound» here undergoes another transformation—it is translated onto a plane more alien to it visually—and this translation allows for a deeper study of its characteristics, sonic textures, and the situations that arise every second, reflecting all visible and invisible processes.
The project title refers to the idea that absolute silence—the absence of sound in our everyday life—does not exist; therefore, the «states» here are variations in saturation: ranging from barely audible and light to all-encompassing and intense.

The sheets are populated with a multitude of «sonic events, ” expressed through graphite textures, surface qualities, and micro-narratives—elements that appear and disappear, lose and regain clarity, much like echoes.
