The book tells the story of a boy from a small town on the banks of the Mississippi in the mid-19th century. A restless inventor, he constantly drags himself and his friends into various adventures. For this project, I decided to reimagine the classic illustrations for the novel for readers aged 9–12. I chose black-and-white graphics so that all focus would be on the line and the characters' expressions, and I opted for animation to provide brief flashes of movement that would pull the child’s attention back to the book rather than distract them.
