«Parts of a Whole» is a series of textile objects that captures the moment of eating a single apple. Each bite leaves a trace and changes the form of the original apple—seeming to degrade its shape—but this is not the case.
Each form is beautiful in its own right—from a perfectly round, smooth apple to a gnarled, sealed stump. Together, they compose one complete fruit. For without one of these parts, there would be no apple at all, which means each one is valuable and essential.
