2005
In 2005, a chess tournament let players team up with computers any way they liked. Grandmasters entered with machines at their side. So did two American amateurs with three ordinary PCs. The amateurs won.
Why they won?
The explanation was simple: a weaker player with a machine and a better process beats a stronger player with a machine and a worse one.

Chess players call that human-machine team a centaur.
That’s who we are.

The problem
You know what preproduction costs: months of work and a serious budget before you find out whether an idea has legs. Most ideas don’t. So you can only afford to place a few bets.
AI in the pipeline. People in charge.
Centaur Digital builds playable prototypes. AI handles the search: drafts, variations, placeholder art, boilerplate code. Our designers and developers make every decision and finish every asset by hand.
More bets. Less risk.
How we work
For every project, we show what the machine generated and what our team turned it into. You don’t get «AI art.» You get your game, made faster.
1. Brief.
Your idea, your goals, your limits.2. AI draft.
Hundreds of options in hours: sketches, layouts, sound, code.3. Human final.
We choose, redraw, rewrite and tune. Every final asset is made by hand.4. Playable.

Every project comes with our signature breakdown. For each stage (concept, art, code, sound), it shows how much was done by AI and how much by people. No hiding, no hype.
One number never changes: every decision is 100% human.
Cases
Every case runs the same five fields, so the reader learns the pattern once: Brief, AI draft, Human final, Result, Centaur Meter.
Case 01 · Project Triad · Casual games publisher
A publisher had three puzzle concepts and the budget to produce one. They needed to know which one players actually want.
AI draft
AI produced 140 art variations, 36 level layouts and placeholder sound across the three concepts.Human
final Our art director picked one direction per concept and redrew the key assets. Our game designer built each core loop and tuned the first 12 levels by hand.Result
3 playable prototypes in 12 working days. One concept doubled the day-one retention of the other two and went into production. The other two were dropped before they cost a production budget.3 prototypes · 12 working days · 1 greenlight
