Midday Glints

This project is an extension of the main creative design coursework. Starting with Ivan Klyun’s watercolor piece, «Suprematist Composition,» I first developed an environmental object—a bookcrossing station—and subsequently designed a graphic package that incorporates patterns derived from the original composition’s elements. I decided to use one of these patterns for «The Factory» because, in my opinion, it turned out the most successful and most accurately conveyed the painting’s mood.

Material: 100% natural silk, 14 momme twill.

Printing: Automated application; full-color digital printing on silk is used for production.
Edge Finishing: The edge is machine-stitched with an imitation of handwork.

Estimate:
Natural Silk (Twill) — 1,150 RUB / linear meter; 28 linear meters — 32,200 RUB.
Direct Digital Printing — 350 RUB / linear meter; 28 linear meters — 9,800 RUB.
Edge Finishing — 100 RUB / piece; 20 pieces — 2,000 RUB.
Technical Line Preparation — 1,000 RUB.
Total for Batch: 45,000 RUB.
Cost per Handkerchief: 2,250 RUB.
