The project concept involves creating wall-mounted ceramic objects that reinterpret the Gothic tracery ornament.
Three candle holders, unified by a shared style of complex linear interlacing, are affixed to the wall, transforming it into something resembling an architectural fragment. The living flame of the candles accentuates the depth of the relief and the graphic quality of the lines, generating a play of shadows characteristic of medieval cathedrals.

Massive—gothic ornament based on the complex intertwining of straight and curved lines. Preliminary layout of such an ornament is conducted using a ruler and compass.
Forming

«Geometric patterns express the idea of a rational divine order. Everything God created is perfect. Understanding geometry is part of knowing God.»
Reinterpreting Gothic, I take color as my foundation, not darkness. The color palette emerges from the hues of ceramic tile: warm reds, deep blues, and natural greens.

The ceramic candle holder consists of two parts that are joined together by a candle base. | Ceramic item size: 200×200 mm.
