Fossilis. Video Mapping

Fossilization, or petrification, is the process by which the remains of deceased organisms (both animals and plants) are transformed into mineralized fossils. The video is structured into three time layers, reflecting different periods in the existence of flora and fauna.

The visual design of the project is inspired by the cyanotype technique. Because the color saturation in cyanotype directly depends on the exposure time, the shift in the color palette in the video reflects the temporal distance of each period.

The Paleontological Museum named after Yu. A. Orlov was selected as the mapping object.
