Address | Gatchina, Russia Event | Night of Light in Gatchina 2023 Object Size | 1000×1000×2000 mm Theme | Day After Tomorrow
The project embodies the idea that every event, every moment that occurs around us, leaves an indelible mark on our lives and genetic memory. The art object embodies two concepts: the uncertainty of the future and the mutability of life, while simultaneously demonstrating that there are values that remain constant and are passed down through generations.
Frozen ice shards symbolize the fragility and temporality of life, reflecting our moments and events that leave imprints on memory. Embryos preserved in cryocapsules serve as a symbol of new beginnings and hope. They represent the embodiment of untapped potential, forming an emblem of infinite possibility. All of this is unified in a single symbol—the tree of life—which acts as a metaphor linking the past, present, and future.
The object reminds us that we do not merely exist in this world; we leave a mark that extends far beyond our own being.
