The memory I seek

«The Memory I Seek» — the story of Gelya, a girl who learns about the deportation of the Kalmyk people: first through the silences of her elders, and later in class. As she grows older, she piece by piece reconstructs her family’s past using photographs and fragments of stories, realizing her personal connection to the tragedy. This is a narrative about the search for identity and the preservation of the voices of those who survived exile.
