Through time and space

There are things that can’t be expressed only by words, they need to be felt, touched, finally sniffed:) Text comes from thought and anxiety, but it has boundaries — a book. The painting is a way out of these borders. It’s not an illustration or an addition to words. It’s an independent layer where text and painting form one image. And this image starts to sound something that doesn’t fit in letters, but is clearly felt in the heart. The painting also has boundaries, but I’ll break those boundaries next time, and I’ve found a way to connect writing and painting. Every painting is not just butter on canvas, but a story I’ve already lived in a book that I’ve been rewriting on a different level. I’m putting the text right on top of the painting. The letters fall on the color, and the color absorbs the meaning. So there’s something that lives both as a word and as an image and as an energy. These are not «cartographs with text», not «pages» or «illustrations». It’s a unique direction that I feel like skin: a point of contact between literature, art, and internal transformation. Every one of my paintings exists in a single copy. They cannot be repeated because it is impossible to repeat the residence from which they were born. They absorb history, condition, design, and become more than just canvas and paint. And I don’t just want to show the picture. It’s important that I tell you why I’m writing them. Because it’s not about the art market in the usual sense. It’s about creating a new language that can speak directly to a person without the usual framework. And that’s why every new job for me is a step into the unknown. But it’s a step I’m happy to take. Because I know that’s how new worlds are born.
