About practice

My work explores the spaces between social, cultural, and material systems — the gaps and peripheries where unexpected connections emerge.

Working principle

I am interested in how people navigate, inhabit, and transform their environments, and how deviations from established structures can reveal alternative ways of being together.

Working across research, publishing, and exhibition-making, I explore the potential of in-between states: moments when existing systems are challenged and reinterpreted.

⇢  Shortcut

Concept development ⋅ Research ⋅ Editorial direction

Description

Media project exploring the right to move freely within cultural systems. It takes the concept of the desire path — an informal trail formed when people deviate from planned routes — a starting point for thinking about how people reshape established cultural structures.

Approach

The project examines deviation as a productive act. When an existing structure fails an alternative route emerges. Shortcut explores how individual choices can challenge trajectories.

⇢  ✂ media

Concept development ⋅ Research ⋅ Video descriptions

Description

✂ media project collects stories of objects transformed into statements through acts of destruction. It explores how interventions in public space become ways of responding to social, cultural and political change.

Original size 4096x2057

Approach

The project approaches destruction not simply as an act of damage, but as a form of expression. By examining the circumstances surrounding damaged objects, it traces how physical interventions can articulate dissent and extend public conversations.

Outcome

Collection of stories documenting how physical interventions challenge established meanings and turn public objects into sites of expression and conflict.

⇢  У нас отобрали джунгли. Camera Obscura

Concept development ⋅ Research ⋅ Installation design

Description

У нас отобрали джунгли (We were robbed of our jungle) is an exhibition exploring the loss of spaces where alternative cultures can emerge. Referencing a line from a song by Russian musician and poet Boris Usov, the exhibition uses the metaphor of the jungle to evoke the complexity of urban space — an environment shaped by intersecting trajectories and forms of collective life that resist complete control.

Original size 4096x2057
Original size 4096x2057

Approach

Using the optical principle of the camera obscura, I project an inverted image of the exterior onto the room’s wall. The work resonates with Martin Heidegger’s thinking on the relationship between objects and our experience of the world.
