The goal of the project is to capture the splendor of nature in time in a cold porcelain sculpture, combining scientific precision with artistic expression and conveying to the audience admiration for the beauty of the flower.

Inspiration and ideas:

To create the composition «Vernissage», the inspiration was fresh flowers and Baroque still lifes with their exquisite shapes and colors. Also influential were the non-commercial works of contemporary florists, showing new approaches to composition and color combinations.

Concept:

A botanical sculpture made of cold porcelain in a classically shaped vase in the form of a lush composition combines natural elements and modern decor. Using cold porcelain allows you to create incredibly realistic flowers and leaves that look life-like. At the same time, a classic vase adds sophistication and elegance to this composition. Thanks to the combination of different styles and materials, this sculpture will be a unique and attractive decorative element that will attract attention and add charm to any interior.

To implement the Vernissage project, a detailed study and sketching of botanical analysis schemes for each flower included in the composition was carried out. This helped to accurately reproduce plant shapes and colors using cold porcelain, oil paints and pastels.

Cold porcelain is white, warm or cold. Dyeing is done by hand, usually over white. However, sometimes a small amount of paint is added inside the clay to improve the properties of cold porcelain and make the tinting process easier. This is often used to create green shades.

For each type of flower included in the Vernissage composition, detailed painting was done with paints and pastels. Thanks to a careful approach to the selection of shades and paint application techniques, each flower acquired the most realistic appearance, conveying its natural beauty and uniqueness.

Creating the project involves using silicone tools to capture the vibrant texture of each flower and petal. Each detail is finished with special stacks, which allows you to achieve realistic shapes and bends.

To transfer the texture to the clay, it must first be cooled or heated. The choice of method depends on the type of cold porcelain, the shape of the instrument and its features, as well as the temperature and humidity of the room.

Drying is done in air, and it is important to preserve the original curves and shapes. For this purpose, paralon and polystyrene foam dryers are used, which help to avoid deformation.

The wire is built into parts of a flower almost among all their entire length before the texture is applied. The wire first undergoes two-stage processing. This wire embedding process is unique and developed by me. This is one of the most difficult stages, which requires certain skills and knowledge.

To make stamens, a fishing line is used, which is pre-treated with sandpaper. Each stamen is created from cold porcelain and then sculpted into a realistic appearance using tweezers.

The creation of the composition, including the shape and arrangement of flowers at different levels, followed the principles of modern floristry, inspired by the Baroque style. At the same time, the choice of colors, their quantity and texture was carried out in accordance with the Fibonacci rule.
