Go For Quality is an exhibition dedicated to the problem of microplastics released by clothes during wear, washing and/or other types of mechanical damage. Microplastic is not a specific type of plastic, but any type of plastic fragment less than 5 mm long. Studies have shown that on average one person swallows and inhales at least 50,000 microplastic particles per year, which has adverse effects on human health. Synthetic clothing is one of the main sources of harmful microparticles: they are released during wear, washing and other types of mechanical stress.
The design of the exhibition was developed on the basis of a special display font Raspustilsya Sans. The concept of Raspustilsya Sans is based on the use of a visual image of the holes in the synthetic fabric, which are formed during the release of microplastics. The font was built by cutting elements out of a square grid.
