The «Martian Chronicles» pavilion was designed for the conceptual architectural design competition, «Breaking the Laws of Physics.» The exhibition pavilion is inspired by Ray Bradbury’s novel of the same name and aims to become the primary bastion of memory for the perished civilization of ancient Mars.

The pavilion is located on the Great Syrte plateau—by the shores of an ancient, dried-up sea, near a preserved Martian channel. In Bradbury’s novel, refined crystal cities were situated precisely on the coasts of these dead seas and along the Martian channels.
