The project was developed as part of the Quasius team. The Art Director was Maria Otrutskaya, and the project initiator was Ekaterina D. The photographer was Tatyana Dragunova.
Within this project, I participated in the following stages: research, visualizing the idea at the sketch level, finding form in three dimensions, and 3D design.

PLALALANTS — a line of small planter stands focused on aesthetics and convenience.

The challenge is that placing houseplants often requires a compromise between plant health, ease of care, and interior aesthetics.
Houseplants are often placed on windowsills, shelves, or DIY tiered structures, where it is difficult to ensure that each plant receives adequate light and root aeration. Most existing solutions do not allow for effective space organization or the creation of an interesting botanical composition.
During the sketching phase, considerations included safe plant care conditions (it is important to avoid excessive moisture around the roots), the ability to arrange pots at varying heights so that every sprout receives light, the aesthetics of home interior design, and the technical specifications for printing the batch on a 3D printer. An additional, high-priority task was to simplify plant maintenance.

Following the sketching stage for 3D modeling and further prototyping, two concepts were selected. The first—featuring a soft, rounded tray form and a flexible exit for securing the legs—proved complex and expensive to manufacture. For subsequent development, we preferred the more structured, graphic form, which required less material and aligned better with the capabilities of 3D printing.

Solution: a line of modular stands with a transparent base.

The base made of slats ensures necessary root ventilation and makes watering in a sink or bathtub convenient (the consumer does not need to remove each pot individually). The varying sizes and lengths of the interchangeable legs and trays allow for the creation of a personalized composition to suit the plant lover’s taste.
