BACKSTORY
In an alternate reality where humanity attempted to harness life itself, they created machines as experiements to deal with different aspects, such as power, enlightenment, and immortality. However, they all lead to humanity’s demise, and are deemed as failures.
The professor behind this massive project had spent over ₽70 Billion into development, and created 6 major outputs that serve as key development points for said project:
1. Kikimora: «The Mad Scientist, Cyborg Tinkerer»

In order to reach immortality, The Professor preserved the human soul by replacing body parts with cybernetics one by one. In order to mass produce cyborgs, he’ll have to find a way to automate the process, thus he made the Kikimora, a machine whose purpose is to tinker with humans, replacing their body parts with metallic ones.
2. Rusalka: «The Demure Mirage, Baiter of Gazers»

One of the issues that The Professor ran into was he couldn’t get anyone to volunteer to be cyborgs. Thus, he converted existing cyborgs into baits to catch humans off guard, dubbed as «Project: Rusalka». These types of cyborgs were once females that drowned within the test tubes. They are now equipped with 360° projectors that display the image of a beautiful woman to lure in people in order to claim them. So far there are more than 200 thousand victims of the Rusalka, be it salarymen, gym rats, and even live streamers.
3. Sirin: «The False Holy Hymn, Songs of Delusion»

The Sirin was another project made to lure in people, but this one is made to brainwash the human subconscious using hymns, acting like «a false prophet». However, this construct worked too good, because not ony did it bring in twice as much humans as the Rusalka, it worked on cyborgs as well. Seeing this, The Professor wanted to destroy the Sirin out of fear that this experiment would go out of hand. In order to do that, he needed a new superweapon.
4. Solovei: «Rogue Superweapon, Devastating Soundwave»

Solovei was a superweapon made to exterminate the Sirin, the Rusalka, and The Professor’s agenda of human to cyborg conversion. In the midst of battle, the system went rogue while trying to adapt to the battlefield. Solovei went rampant throughout the city, blasting the city with destructive soundwaves, until he was shot down by a nameless hero while flying in the sky.
5. Zhar-Ptitsa: «Life’s Everlasting Battery, Blessings of Wonder»

After his previous experiments failed, he was able to successfully capture the mythical Firebird to harness it’s supernatural power, dubbing this experiment «Zhar-Ptitsa». In return, it only brought pain to the poor bird; the metal cage put around it was suffocating. This experiment caused the whole city to hunt the firebird down in the name of survival after the attack of Solovei.
6. Koschei: «The Final Experiment, Immortal Destructor»

After the Firebird had been exhausted from it’s power, the people went for The Professor next in search of more resources. They were not going to take him down easily, so he created one last line of defence; «Koschei», an immortal cyborg with a supply of power equal to Zhar-Ptitsa. The final experiment’s purpose is to wipe out any trace of The Professor’s influence with it’s destructive powers. Will The Professor win, or will the nameless hero return to save humanity once again?
