My task was to develop a design for a Christmas ornament in the stylistic vein of the main publication for this module.
The toy’s design should align with the concept of the «illUSORY» design project. I decided that the toy should consist of several layers of different fabric scraps, featuring prominent seams and slightly frayed edges. The construction was based on a transparent sphere, inside which a circuit with an LED, powered by a watch battery, was placed. This way, in low light, a beautiful effect is achieved, allowing the toy’s multilayered texture to become noticeable.
